Back in 2015, we at the Policaro Automotive Family got together with Porsche Centre Oakville and decided to join the world of motorsport. We partnered up with Alergra Motorsports and fielded a team in the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Michelin, one of the best racing series in the country. It’s been 2 years since our beginning in the racing world, and we continue to invest heavily in motorsport. The Policaro Automotive Family is proud of our team’s progress, struggles and triumphs. The effort alone that’s required to put a car and a driver over the finish line first at some of the most high-stake races in North America is nothing more than extraordinary..
In 2016, we had a great racing season with team driver Daniel Morad. He won the Ultra 94 GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama Platinum Class Championship after a difficult run with rival Scott Hargrove of Open Road Racing. The year started off with an unforgettable collision between the two on turn three at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, which was remarkably caught on camera.
After many ups and downs, the team prevailed with Morad and took home the Platinum Class championship and helped the team championship. Morad also raced in the final four events of the GT3 Cup Challenge USA and because the first drive ever to hold a Porsche GT3 Cup North American Championship, which entails competing in GT3 Cup races in Canada and America.
