The Honda Civic has always been a popular choice when comparing the many options available in the highly competitive compact vehicle segment. It offers a mixture of sleek, sophisticated styling and an assortment of modern technology and safety features that make it a simple choice for many. It’s no wonder that Honda decided to bring back this fan favourite for the 2019 model year, complete with a long list of new features and enhancements to make your buying decision even easier.
New standard safety features can be found on even the entry-level LX, as well as an upgraded audio system and new steering wheel designed to be more intuitive for the user. New and refreshed styling cues can be found inside and out, from glossy black piano trim to chrome accents meant to draw the eyes of any onlookers. Under the hood the popular 2.0 and 1.5-L 4-cylinder engines continue their run, offering reliability and fuel efficiency all wrapped into one.
This year, some small yet influential changes have been made to the Civic’s exterior, such as the addition of a small amount of glossy black piano trim on the front, as well as a new full front splitter and differently shaped air intakes. The Sport package also now features a new rear deck-lid spoiler on the sedan model, as well as offering new lower front bumper visuals to help it stand out from the entry-level Civic LX. The Touring trim package now features new LED headlights and is highlighted with chrome accents on the front and back bumpers. When it comes to styling, the 2019 Honda Civic carries on the tradition of turning heads no matter the trim package.
The Compact vehicle segment is extremely competitive, and the technology and safety features included are near the top of the list of important items to consider. Inside you will find the much-appreciated addition of a physical volume knob for the upgraded audio system, as well as a redesigned steering wheel, new center console cup-holder, and updated dash trim (on the LX package and above). New insulation materials have also been added to help reduce road noise in the rear and front fenders, the trunk and the floor.
The ever-popular Honda Sensing System is now a standard feature across all trim levels and can be found on both the coupe and sedan models. This handy suite of safety features helps protect you and your vehicle by adding things like the Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Departure Warning System and Adaptive Cruise Control. When the safety of yourself and your passengers is of top priority, Honda aims to provide affordable security across all trim levels.
